Hardware Electrical Engineer – Entry/Intermediate Level

Job Summary: Support the design, development, and validation of server hardware systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, reliable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform assigned task on design and review of server hardware schematics and PCB layouts, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
- Perform component trial / evaluation of server hardware (CPUs, memory, chipsets, power components, high-speed interfaces and others).
- Perform system bring-up, debugging, and troubleshooting of electrical hardware issues from prototype to production.
- Execute hardware validation base on given plans, analyze / report results, and solve encountered issues.
- Support power integrity (PI) and signal integrity (SI) analysis and validation.
- Work with firmware and system validation teams to ensure seamless hardware-software integration.
- Contribute to failure analysis and root cause identification for issues found during development or in the field.
- Create and maintain technical documentation related to electrical design and validation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.
- Graduate to 3 years of experience in related EE hardware design, development, or validation, related in Enterprise equipment, network/server product, or embedded systems.
- Understanding of computer architecture and networking/server, high-speed digital design principles, and power delivery networks.
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout review tools (e.g., Cadence OrCAD/Allegro, Mentor Graphics).
- Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and soldering tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Experience
- Familiar with X86 CPU (Intel or AMD) architecture.
- Knowledge of industry standards like PCIe, DDR4/5, SATA, SAS, USB, I2C, SPI.
- Familiarity with signal integrity and power integrity simulation tools.
- Experience working with ODM, OEM or contract manufacturers.
